Festive Frolics!

Wahoooo, there was christmas eve, there was christmas day, and now it's all over. What a waste of money, worry and effort don't you think? But fun was had by all and that's the main thing (that and receiving gifts, stuffing your face with food for 24 hours and watching utter crap on telly)

Christmas eve was fun, the Roebuck is certainly getting more popular by the year (I remember the days when I only went there with my nan to eat on a sunday as a special treat: faggots and mash, yum!)

Sara, you really are glowing, you look fabulous, I don't think you should give birth at all, not whilst pregnancy has got you looking so lovely, just keep it in forever, imagine it really is a quiche! Cheers for my pressie, I'm wearing the cute little reindeer as I type, and the paint your own gnome is EXCELLENT, I can't wait to do it. As soon as I know precisely where in London I will be for New Year I will let you know, a New Years Brekkie with you and Mark would be sooooo nice!!!

Ben, an apology is due....I did drink a little too much on xmas eve and I do recall throwing one of your mothers tree decorations in the fire, but it wasn't on so no fatalitlies right? To explain: The tree decoration was one of the most disturbing I have ever seen, I will draw a picture of the beast when I can be bothered and I am close to a pencil. I realize it was hawiian but that is no excuse, it has a birds body and a strange human child head, it is horrific and has no place on a Christmas tree. Were you serious about laser quest by the way?

Right, I'm off to eat more, simply because food is about and I didn't buy it. Yes I may join Martin (he is watching Full Metal Jacket and looking more and more aggressive by the minute) I shall join him and eat continuously until I explode.

I am so fat today, but hey, IIIIIIT'SSSS CHRIIIIIISTMAAAS! (according to Noddy Holder) and this is the only time of year when it's perfectly acceptable to become obese so I'm going for it.

BYEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I'm still alive!

I cannot apologise enough for my elongated absence from Dooodlekaz.....I was in a coma for six weeks and only came round today, it was a festive awakening; the smell of turkey, the sound of carol singers, oh and the electric shock therapy provided by the tesco purchased fairy lights....But I'm back, and hopefully shall manage to stay conscious for a while.

Okay, I'm stretching the truth a little, no in fact I'm blatantly lying to you all, there was no coma, it was worse.......I currently have no internet connection! Well obviously I have it this very minute but that is due to my nans humble abode in Wolverhampton. Yes I am enjoying the jolliness back in the midlands. One of my new years resolutions is to GET THE INTERNET CONNECTED so I shall be updating my blog more regularly.

So a few things to catch up on me thinks.....

My Birthday:

Had a good couple of nights in Wolvo, finally got to meet Mark (sarasizzle's little chicken) which was exciting, hi Mark, was good to metchya! Sang sonny and cher's 'I got you babe' with sara's dad, and battled sara and mark on the old singstar too!

Had fun at Combermere, Varsity and Blastoff with Meg, Greg, 'The Reform' and the rest of the crew(not all with rhyming names) We ended up at Megs where mountainous slices of marmite on toast were consumed, and we somehow managed to chat nonsense until half 5 in the morning. I gave in at this point and climbed into Megs bed to the sound of an arguement about whether we should watch Dawson's Creek or With Nail and I.

Since my Birthday:

Mostly been sorting myself out, me and George are now separate entities residing at separate residences, we are no more......

So had lots to organize etc.

Last weekend:
Had a good laugh with Justine who I work with. We bumped into eachother in Primark (it is soooo the place to be right now). The intention was to go for one drink then go home, this was at 3pm.....At 1am I got home, but we had a fun night and ate far too much Tapas.

We did the QI club on Sunday and we were pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was(we had been dubious about going as it is usually full of 'rah rahs' (posh oxonions who are as close to royalty as I'm ever gunna get) but it was great, and we made friends with a Swiss couple Patrick and Franka who were lovely and able to place both mine and Justine's accents! (me, kind of wolverhampton still, justine's, totally manchester) We had lots of mulled wine and mine pies, and a strangely diverse catalogue of tunes were played via some guy in a weird hat called 'BEN'. He was good actually, and he even provided a musical quiz between performances, I m proud to say that I won An R Kelly, and a Bobby Brown album due to my extensive R&B knowledge (or perhaps the 'rahrah's lack of it).

Then this week has been pretty mad at work and I'm knakkered. I spent monday night eating far too much pizza at Mamamias in Summertown, it was good food though. We went out to entertain Ody who is over from Hongkong for Christmas. Then we had Lebanese on Thursday which was soooooooooo salty-I guess it makes sense in Liban if you are sweating profusely all day but when it's minus 5 in Oxford, the salt is a little too much for my liking, I felt like I could gritt the roads with my sweat after the meal. And we never got a go on the old Hookah (probably spelt wrong)

So friday I stayed in and tidied my enormous pile of crap up, then hopped on the train to wolvo yesterday.

Had a nice evening at Tom and Carrie's last night drinking many a cocktail, then spent most of evening at Blastoff dancing with Ellie and Ben in a state of Delirium, Ben even broke up a fight, well done! Ellie, please pass on my apologies to your mother for the racaus noise we created last night back at yours (ellie got buried in an avalanche of sheets in the airing cupboard which I found hysterical and almost hyperventilated at the top of her stairs. P.S. Your Zbed is most comfortable!

Right, I'm off, christmas eve is in full swing(martin has michael jackson's greatest hits playing) so I'm escaping to the pub!

Until the next time, take care folks!
